Cool, SBQ, and Booking Through Thursday
I'm sure that most of you have seen this:

My inner Goth is loving this; I hope they can keep it up. I have actually picked a project and think I even have the yarn for it. Snowballs Chance in Hell fulfills two of my favorite things: fingerless gloves and skulls(although my knitting skulls thus far have been limited to my 'stealth skull' on my modified Skully from Stitch 'n Bitch). Hopefully, I'll be able to get these done before winter is over. My coat will be covering most of the armwarmer, so I won't scare any of the mommies when I pick little Diva up from school. Everyone needs to indulge their inner dark side every once in a while, or am I the only one that has one. You know the one that listens to Marilyn Manson, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails. The one that reads vampire/werewolf fiction and loves it. The one that loves to wear black even though they don't all the time. The one that occasionally thinks about dying their hair any number of bizarro colors. The one that has envied/admired Trent Reznor since 1989. Anyone? Anyone? Okay, maybe it's just me :P
In other news, I'm still sick although really all that is left is an annoying cough. It's annoying enough though to prevent me from running. I am not even sure if I mentioned this here but in September I started a beginner running program. As of Sunday I was up to week six(I know it's been more than six weeks since September, but I had to repeat a couple of weeks), but now I have no idea where I'll be considering I haven't run since Sunday. Depending on how I'm feeling this afternoon, I may try to run when little Diva is at school--so take that cough. It is supposed to be unseasonably warm today otherwise I wouldn't even attempt to run again until Sunday.
Nano writing: I'm up to 16000+ words and I got there last night. 3:00am to be exact--yeah, you're reading that right. I stayed up until 3:00am writing. Darling Husband was out of town which means I can't sleep, so at around 11:15pm I sat down and started to write. I had missed a day this week and when you are trying to write 50000 words in 30 days you really don't have the luxury of taking a day off. I was playing catch up, but really I had no intention of staying up that late. I just got into the zone and when I came to what I felt was a good breaking point I looked at the clock and almost passed out. I'm sure I'll pay for that burst of creativity today, because 4+ hours of sleep don't normally make for a cooperative mommy :) I did make my main character sick, by the way, but she is made of stronger stuff than me and she took it in stride.
Knitting: I intend to spend this afternoon working on Little Rage's sweater. I am so close to finishing the front. Hopefully, I'll have a pic for you this weekend. It has a kangaroo pocket on the front and I love making pockets that way--it always seems like magic to me.
Stitching: I have been spending any spare time I have gridding Storykeeper--my end of the month reward piece. I won't start stitching on it until I finish my novel, but getting the preliminaries out of the way feels great!
Happy knitting, stitching, and reading,
aloha:)
Today's "Stitching Blogger's Question" was suggested by Dawn (http://crafterscreations.blogspot.com/ ) and is:
When comparing large projects versus small projects, which do you get more excited about finishing?
I'm not sure if large or small factors into it for me. I think it's the detail and complexity that gets me excited about finishing. I will say that I'm more excited about large projects than I am about smaller ones. All of my WIPs are large.

- What book (or books) would you like to see made into a movie? Why? This is a tough question for me. If they did it well, I'd like to see Laurell Hamilton's Merry Gentry series made into movies. I'd really like to see what Hollywood would do with all the fey characters. Laurell's description of their colors and looks; it would be something to see on the big screen. Chris Paolini's Inheritance Trilogy would be great to see on screen as well; I'm guessing it's just a matter of time on that one.
- What book (or books) would you definitely not want made into a movie? This one is easy. Truth be told I don't really like having any book made into a movie; as I've said before it kind of ruins your mental picture of how things should be. With that in mind, I really don't ever want to see Laurell Hamilton's Anita Blake series made into movies--I have my own visual on those characters and I know a movie would ruin that.

I don't know that I have an inner dark side, definitely no inner Goth. I'll leave that all to you. Have you been working on your other huge stitching project, the one with Aragorn (somebody, sorry, I forget the names)?
Also, I think you should totally dye your hair a wild color while you have no job-induced clothing/appearance restrictions! I totally would if I could get away with it. :)
