Kai-Mei Playoff Knitting Finish

I finished some socks that I've been working on during the hockey playoffs. They are from Cookie A's book and I love the way they turned out.

Stats:
Yarn: Colinette Jitterbug(Blue Parrot)
Needles: size 2 dpns
Pattern: Kai-Mei(Cookie A)

I made the leg 5.5 inches long which is about an inch shorter than the pattern required and I'm glad I did or I would have run out of yarn. I loved the way the pattern worked; it was fun to try something different.

That is a wonderful job you did on those socks! I love to do knitting too, only I have less time to do this too.

Those socks turned out so very cute! With the Jitterbug, you can't make the cuffs very long, with the short yardage. Glad you had enough yarn to finish them out. I might have to make that pattern next!

Stashalong--Sign ups end Jan.1

Sign ups have ended. EDIT: Sign ups end January 1 at 5pm Mountain time. Anyone interested in using some of your stash in order to make room for some new spring stuff? Join me in a very informal knitalong. Here are the rules: (1) Must start and try to finish something from your stash yarn(I say "try" to finish because if you pick something huge like an afghan or sweater finishing in three months may not be realistic). (2) You have 3 months and during that time you cannot add to your stash in any way(things ordered before January 1 but not yet delivered do not count--hence the early warning--get it out of your systems, ladies). Of course realistically there is no way to police this, so the honor system is in place.  Came back…looking through old posts.  There are many times when I really miss blogging. Life has been super busy.  Work, family…pretty stressful.
